Excel splitter — FAQ

Is my Excel file uploaded?

No. The workbook is read, split, and packaged locally in your browser.

How many files can one split create?

The first version creates up to 200 files per task. Choose a larger row batch or another grouping column if the result would exceed that limit.

What happens to formulas?

Worksheet splitting preserves formulas, but cross-sheet references may no longer work. Row and column splitting save formula cells as their last stored values and block formulas without a stored result.

Are all Excel features preserved?

Basic values, types, number formats, widths, and supported styles are retained where possible. Macros, charts, images, pivot tables, and other advanced objects are not guaranteed.
